“Hacienda Cocuyo is a hidden GEM in the hills of Samana, with outstanding views of the ocean, palm trees and sunsets. As soon as you enter the grounds, you can tell that the architectural design is crafted with precision, and careful thought. The natural infinity pool with little fish was a pleasant surprise, along with the fire pit at night. The food was delicious. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Although in a remote area, it’s worth the trip. Overall, this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in. Will definitely return.”

Be sure to bring a book to sit in the common area with the most amazing view of the Samana bay. The rooms are rustic and comfortable and the food creative with a local flavor.”

“Wonderful stay at Cocuyo with my husband and 3 kids. A very special place, full of charm and character and surrounded by 360 spectacular views. We felt welcomed and at home on arrival, the accommodation is simple but beautiful and very comfortable. The pool is stunning, the common areas are cozy and inviting. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the meals were extraordinary! We made lots of interesting new friends and loved just hanging out at the hotel. Cocuyo has a special charm that will keep us coming back!”
